IPT 2026 Selection Criteria
The IPT squad is announced during prize giving at the Closed Tournament. To be eligible for selection, a player needs to fulfil all of the following criteria:
- Participate in either the Joburg Junior Closed Tournament, SA Squash Junior Open or the Growthpoint Regional Tournament (preference must be given to the Joburg Junior Closed Tournament).
- Participate in 3 other SSA sanctioned tournaments.
- Attend a minimum of 3 squad training sessions during the year.
- Successfully completed the relevant level Marking and Refereeing course.
The ladder is updated immediately after the Closed Tournament which is then used to determine the IPT teams.
A player’s position in the IPT team is not necessarily the same position that they ended the Closed Tournament.

IPT 2026 Venues
The venues for IPT are:
- U13 – Gqeberha
- U15 – East London
- U17 –Pretoria
- U19 – Cape Town
The U11 do not participate in IPT. However, the Angela Difford Festival takes place in George at the same time as IPT.
